Gyakie is a Ghanaian singer and songwriter who was born on December 16, 1998, in Kumasi, Ghana. Her full name is Jackeline Acheampong, but she goes by the stage name Gyakie.
Gyakie was born into a family of musicians. Her father is the Highlife legend Ernest ‘Owoahene’ Nana Acheampong, who was part of the famous Lumba Brothers duo in the 1990s. Her mother, Nana Acheampong, was also a singer. Growing up, Gyakie was exposed to various genres of music and started singing at a young age.
Gyakie attended the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana, where she studied international business. She started her music career in 2019 and released her first single, “Love Is Pretty,” which received positive reviews from music critics.
